Jason Heyward has signed a one-year deal with the San Diego Padres valued at $1 million.
Under the terms of the contract, Heyward’s base salary for the 2025 season will amount to $1 million.
Additionally, he stands to earn performance bonuses that incentivize his participation in games.
For achieving certain milestones in plate appearances, he can earn an extra $50,000 for each level reached, starting from 200 and extending up to 400 plate appearances.
This structure rewards Heyward for both consistency and endurance throughout the upcoming season, making his contract one that encourages active involvement on the field.
