Dixon contributes 14 points as Duquesne defeats Fordham 73-64

In a competitive matchup on Wednesday night, Duquesne managed to secure a 73-64 win over Fordham, largely thanks to the impactful performance of David Dixon, who came off the bench to contribute 14 points.
Alongside his scoring, Dixon also recorded five rebounds and four blocks, helping the Dukes improve their season record to 11-15 overall and 6-7 in the Atlantic 10 Conference.
Tre Dinkins and Cam Crawford also played significant roles in the victory, each scoring 13 points, with Crawford adding three steals to his performance.

On the other side of the court, Fordham’s Jackie Johnson III was the standout player, leading his team with 20 points and three steals.
Additionally, Matt Zona contributed 12 points along with two blocks, while Josh Rivera chipped in with 10 points and six rebounds.

The two teams were locked in a tight contest at halftime, ending the period in a 31-31 tie.
Dixon was a key player for Duquesne in the first half, scoring 10 points.
The turning point of the game occurred early in the second half when Crawford’s layup two minutes in put Duquesne ahead 33-31, a lead they would not relinquish for the remainder of the game.
