LEWISBURG, Pa. — Bucknell secured a solid victory against Lehigh on Monday evening, winning 67-50, thanks in large part to Noah Williamson’s impressive 25-point performance.
Williamson not only showcased his scoring ability but also contributed significantly on the boards, grabbing nine rebounds for the Bison, who now hold a record of 14-14 overall and 10-5 within the Patriot League. Following him in the scoring department was Josh Bascoe, who recorded 14 points and collected five rebounds.
On the opposing side, Tyler Whitney-Sidney was the standout for the Mountain Hawks, leading his team with 19 points, while teammate Nasir Whitlock chipped in with 11 points. Lehigh’s record now stands at 10-16 and 5-10 in league play.
The turning point for Bucknell came just before halftime, as they took control of the game with 40 seconds left in the first half and maintained that advantage throughout the second half. Bascoe was instrumental early on, scoring nine points in the first half to help Bucknell secure a 29-25 lead at the break. Williamson then dominated the second half, adding 18 points to seal the win for his team.
