A tragic multi-vehicle incident involving a tractor-trailer led to the closure of a section of Interstate 20 in the Dallas region early Sunday morning, as reported by local authorities.

According to Jason Evans, a representative from the Dallas Fire-Rescue Department, the tractor-trailer fell off a ramp on the interstate and landed on the ground below, ultimately igniting a fire.

In the aftermath of the crash, the falling trailer collided with another truck, resulting in the death of its driver. The Dallas County Sheriff’s Department has not reported any additional fatalities from the accident.

Evans noted that emergency responders in the vicinity were already on their way to the scene when Dallas firefighters received notification of the incident around 1:30 a.m.
