A small aircraft went down in the southeastern state of Sao Paulo, Brazil, over the weekend, resulting in the deaths of two individuals on board, officials reported.
The incident occurred in a vegetated area of the municipality of Quadra, located approximately 100 miles (160 kilometers) from Sao Paulo, the state’s capital.
Firefighters responding to the scene discovered two bodies that had been severely burned, though authorities have yet to disclose their identities.

Prior to this crash, the Brazilian Air Force had documented a total of 19 airplane accidents within the year, five of which resulted in fatalities.
Earlier this year, on February 7, another small plane crashed shortly after taking off from a private airport in Sao Paulo, leading to the deaths of the pilot and the aircraft’s owner.
Additionally, a tragedy occurred last August in Vinhedo, near Sao Paulo, where an airplane accident claimed the lives of all 72 passengers and crew members on board.

The ongoing series of aviation incidents raises concerns regarding safety regulations and the need for meticulous oversight in private aviation within the region.
As investigations continue into this latest crash, authorities are urging the public for patience while they piece together the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event.
