The Dallas Wings revealed on Thursday that they have secured a partnership with a new regional television provider, aligning with the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks for their broadcasting needs.

All games for the Wings that are not slated for national broadcasts will be shown in the Dallas-Fort Worth region through KFAA, which is a sibling station of the local ABC affiliate, WFAA. Some select games may also be featured on WFAA.

Similar to the Mavericks and the Texas Rangers from Major League Baseball, the Wings were in search of a new broadcast partner after previously being featured on Bally Sports Southwest.

This arrangement with the Dallas-based network comes as the Wings prepare for their transition to a newly renovated arena situated in downtown Dallas, anticipated to happen next year. Since their relocation to the area in 2016, the Wings have been playing their home games in Arlington, which is around 15 miles from downtown Dallas.

Carolyn Mungo, president and general manager of WFAA/KFAA, expressed enthusiasm for the addition of the Wings to their sports lineup, stating, “The Dallas Wings are the perfect next addition to our growing roster of sports broadcasts on KFAA. KFAA has created a local hub for basketball fans, and we couldn’t be more excited to showcase the Wings and their 10th anniversary season.”

Going into the upcoming season, the Wings will be guided by first-year head coach Chris Koclanes. Last season, the team finished with a disappointing record of 9-31, missing the playoffs for the first time since 2020. As the season approaches, Dallas holds the coveted No. 1 pick in the upcoming draft scheduled for April 14.
