FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — In a decisive matchup, Zvonimir Ivisic led the Arkansas Razorbacks to a 70-58 victory over the LSU Tigers on Wednesday night, scoring an impressive 25 points with an efficient shooting performance of 10 for 13. Also contributing significantly to the win, Johnell Davis added 11 points while D.J. Wagner chipped in with 10 points, as Arkansas showcased a solid shooting percentage of 51.9% (28 for 54). After a tough start to Southeastern Conference play, losing their first five games, the Razorbacks have bounced back, winning four of their last six and improving their record to 15-9 overall and 4-7 in the SEC.

On the other side, LSU struggled to find their rhythm, despite reserve Robert Miller III scoring 16 points and Cam Carter contributing 13. The Tigers, now sitting at 12-12 with a dismal 1-10 record in conference games, have been on a rough stretch, suffering a seventh consecutive loss. LSU was competitive in the early going, taking a narrow lead into halftime at 35-34, putting the Razorbacks on notice.

As the second half commenced, Ivisic connected for a three-pointer, flipping the lead to 41-39 in favor of Arkansas. However, a quick response from Miller brought LSU back to a tie momentarily. The Razorbacks then took control, outpacing the Tigers 12-4 in a critical four-minute span, culminating with a layup from Billy Richmond III that pushed their lead to 53-45 with 12:30 left on the clock. LSU was unable to close the gap from that point onward, trailing by at least eight points until the final buzzer.

With 5:12 remaining in the game, a layup by Wagner granted Arkansas their first double-digit lead against a conference opponent at home this season, marking a significant milestone in their campaign. Looking ahead, the Tigers will head to Oklahoma for their next match on Saturday, while Arkansas will take on the eighth-ranked Texas A&M team on the road the same day.
