ANNAPOLIS, Md. — In a close matchup on Wednesday evening, the Navy Midshipmen triumphed over the Lehigh Mountain Hawks with a final score of 63-60, thanks in large part to the impressive performance of Austin Benigni, who netted 21 points.

Benigni’s contributions didn’t stop at scoring; he also secured five rebounds and dished out six assists, playing a vital role in his team’s victory. Alongside him, Lysander Rehnstrom added 11 points to the score, demonstrating notable accuracy by sinking all four of his attempts from the field, including three successful shots from beyond the three-point line. Jordan Pennick chipped in with 10 points, making four of his eleven attempts, while also hitting two of four from three-point territory.

For the Mountain Hawks, Tyler Whitney-Sidney was the standout player, closing the game with 17 points. Joshua Ingram supported the effort with 14 points, and Ben Knostman contributed 11 points to the team’s total.

Rehnstrom made an impact in the first half by scoring eight points, which helped Navy establish a solid lead, going into halftime at 26-16. In the second half, Benigni took charge, scoring 17 points to secure the victory for the Midshipmen.

Both Navy and Lehigh are set to take the court again on Saturday, with Navy facing off against Army while Lehigh squares up against Holy Cross.
