Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are set to clash in the semifinals of the Copa del Rey, following the draw held on Wednesday. Alongside them, Real Madrid will face off against Real Sociedad in the upcoming matches.

The semifinal matches will see Atletico and Real Madrid host the second legs at their home grounds in April, with the first leg matchups scheduled to take place in two weeks.

The last encounter between Atletico and Barcelona saw Atletico emerge victorious with a 2-1 scoreline in the Spanish league back in December.

Barcelona last lifted the Copa del Rey trophy in 2021, while Atletico’s last triumph in the tournament occurred in 2013. Real Madrid, who won their most recent Copa title in 2023, faced elimination in the round of 16 last season at the hands of Atletico.

Real Sociedad is returning to the semifinals for the first time since they secured their third title in 2020. However, they have struggled against Real Madrid in their last three league encounters, suffering losses in each match.
