BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — Derrick Butler contributed significantly from the bench, scoring 19 points, which propelled Bowling Green to a 67-53 triumph over Coastal Carolina on Saturday.

Butler was impressive, hitting 6 of 10 shots from the field, including 5 of 7 from beyond the arc, and also made 2 out of 3 free throws. Trey Thomas complemented Butler’s performance by adding 12 points, with a shooting line of 4 for 11, including 4 of 6 on three-pointers. Jamai Felt rounded out the key contributors with 11 points, showcasing an efficient shooting display by connecting on 5 of 6 attempts.

For the Chanticleers, Joshua Meo stood out as the leading scorer with 13 points. The Falcons significantly increased their lead in the second half, launching a 15-2 scoring spree that took their advantage from 12 to as much as 25 points. They maintained a slight edge in scoring in the latter half, with Butler leading the way, scoring 11 points after halftime.
