EVANSVILLE, Ind. — On Thursday evening, Little Rock secured a victory over Southern Indiana with a score of 74-56, propelled by Johnathan Lawson’s impressive performance, scoring 19 points.
Lawson also contributed significantly in other areas, amassing five rebounds and four steals for the Trojans, who improved their record to 15-9 overall and 9-4 within the Ohio Valley Conference. Jordan Jefferson had a strong game, finishing with 17 points while shooting an efficient 5 of 7 from the field, including 2 of 3 from beyond the three-point line. He also went a perfect 5 for 5 at the free-throw line and added four steals. Mwani Wilkinson contributed 14 points, making 5 of 11 shots, with three of his six attempts coming from long range.
For Southern Indiana, the Screaming Eagles (9-14, 4-9) were led by Stephen Olowoniyi, who notched 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Jayland Randall supported the effort with 14 points, while Damoni Harrison closely followed with 13 points and pulled down nine rebounds.
Both teams will return to the court on Saturday. Little Rock will travel to face Morehead State, while Southern Indiana will host Southeast Missouri State at their home venue.
