The voting results for the 2024 NFL Most Valuable Player, determined by a nationwide panel of sports journalists, have been revealed. The voting followed a point system, awarding points on a 10-5-3-2-1 scale for the top selections from voters.

Leading the pack is Josh Allen from the Buffalo Bills, who garnered a total of 383 points. He received 27 first-place votes, 22 second-place votes, and a single third-place vote. Following closely is Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens with 362 points, earning 23 first-place votes and 26 second-place votes.

In third place is Saquon Barkley from the Philadelphia Eagles, with a tally of 120 points. He received no first-place votes but managed to accumulate points through 25 second-place votes, 19 third-place votes, and 2 fourth-place votes. Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals ranks fourth, accumulating 82 points, with a mix of lower place votes contributing to his score.

Jared Goff of the Detroit Lions finished fifth with 47 points, while Patrick Mahomes from the Kansas City Chiefs came in sixth with 31 points. Jayden Daniels from Washington secured the seventh place with 8 points, followed closely by Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers with 6 points, and Ja’Marr Chase, also from Cincinnati, who shares the same score.

Lastly, Sam Darnold from the Minnesota Vikings and Baker Mayfield of Tampa Bay rounded off the list with 3 and 2 points respectively. The results reflect the diverse pool of talent and competition in this year’s NFL season as players vie for the prestigious MVP title.
