BOSTON — In an impressive performance, Miles Brewster scored 25 points to lead Boston University to a commanding 87-65 win over Navy on Wednesday evening.
Brewster also contributed five rebounds to the Terriers’ effort, who currently hold a record of 12-12 overall and 6-5 in the Patriot League. Michael McNair was another standout for the team, shooting 7 for 8 from the floor, including an impressive 4 of 5 from beyond the arc, amassing a total of 18 points.
On the opposing side, the Midshipmen, now 8-16 overall and 5-6 in their conference, were led by Austin Benigni, who put up 23 points. Donovan Draper supported the team with 14 points, while Jordan Pennick contributed 12 points and distributed four assists.
During the first half, Brewster was instrumental in Boston University’s performance, scoring 14 points and helping his team to a 39-32 advantage at halftime. In the second half, the Terriers built upon their lead, reaching 65-49 after a strong 9-0 scoring run, aided by Brewster’s 11 points in that period.
Both teams are set to return to action on Saturday, with Boston University traveling to face Holy Cross and Navy heading to Lafayette for their games.
