CLINTON, S.C. — In a spirited matchup on Wednesday night, Kaleb Scott led the Presbyterian Blue Hose to a 75-64 victory over the South Carolina Upstate Spartans, scoring an impressive 22 points.
Scott’s performance was complemented by 14 rebounds and three steals, showcasing his all-around contribution to the game for the Blue Hose, who now hold a record of 10-15 overall and 3-7 in the Big South Conference. Kory Mincy also made a significant impact, contributing 18 points by shooting 7 of 15 from the field, which included 2 for 5 from beyond the arc, and he added two successful free throws along with four steals to his tally. Not to be overlooked, Iverson King had a perfect shooting night, going 4 for 4 from the floor and sinking 5 out of 6 free throws, concluding the game with 13 points.
On the other side, the Spartans were led by Carmelo Adkins, who scored 17 points and recorded four steals. Mister Dean also had a strong performance, contributing 16 points for South Carolina Upstate. Unfortunately for the Spartans, this loss marked their eighth consecutive defeat, leaving them with a record of 5-20 overall and 1-9 in conference play.
