BOSTON — J’Vonne Hadley showcased an outstanding performance with 22 points, while Terrence Edwards Jr. contributed 19 points as Louisville achieved a commanding 84-58 victory over Boston College on Wednesday night.

In the second half, the Cardinals dominated the paint, scoring 18 of their initial 22 points in the area, significantly enlarging their lead from 10 points at halftime to 63-48 with roughly 9 and a half minutes left in the game.

Boston College managed to score consecutively, narrowing the gap to 11 points, but Louisville’s inside scoring remained relentless. The Cardinals followed up with five consecutive baskets in the paint, culminating in a 3-pointer from Khani Rooths that pushed the lead to 80-54 with just 3:42 on the clock.

By the end of the match, Louisville amassed 48 points in the paint, with 32 of those coming in the second half alone. The team executed a 50% shooting rate throughout the game.

Chucky Hepburn contributed 12 points for the Cardinals (17-6, 10-2 ACC), while Edwards added eight rebounds and six assists. Aboubacar Traore also had a notable game with 11 rebounds and nine points.

In the first half, Louisville shot 52% and went into halftime with a 41-31 advantage. They showcased their perimeter shooting prowess with seven successfully made three-pointers out of 14 attempts.

For Boston College (10-12, 2-9), Donald Hand Jr. was the standout scorer with 19 points, notably knocking down three three-pointers in the first half, contributing to his 13 points before intermission.

Looking ahead, the Cardinals are set to face Miami on Saturday, while Boston College will take on Syracuse.
