HAMMOND, La. — In a thrilling matchup on Monday night, Southeast Louisiana triumphed over Lamar with a close score of 81-79, primarily led by Jakevion Buckley, who contributed 19 points to the Lions’ success.

Buckley also showcased his skills on the boards, pulling down nine rebounds for the Lions, who now hold a record of 14 wins and 9 losses overall and 8-4 in the Southland Conference. Teammates Sam Hines Jr. and Jeremy Elyzee made significant contributions, each scoring 14 points to help secure the victory.

On the opposite side, the Cardinals were led by Danquez Dawsey, who also scored 19 points. Adam Hamilton rounded out a solid performance with 15 points, eight rebounds, and four blocks, while Alexis Marmolejos chipped in with 11 points.
