NEW ORLEANS — The NFL is examining the regulations concerning Tom Brady’s dual position as both a Fox analyst and a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. Commissioner Roger Goodell announced that the league will review whether any adjustments are necessary to these rules.

Brady recently received formal approval to take on the role of a minority owner with the Raiders and has been influential in the team’s recent efforts to find a new head coach and general manager. This search culminated in the appointments of Pete Carroll and John Spytek.

In addition to his ownership role, Brady is beginning his inaugural season as an analyst for Fox, which comes with strict guidelines preventing him from accessing team facilities or engaging in production meetings with players and coaches. Goodell emphasized that Brady is subject to the same tampering regulations as any other league member, stating that the league has been monitoring his compliance closely to ensure he doesn’t breach any rules.

According to Goodell, “I think he’s serious that he separates these two and he doesn’t put the league or anyone in a position of conflict.” He noted that the league would review these policies during the offseason to determine if any modifications are needed.
