Ames, Iowa – In an impressive performance, Hailey Van Lith netted 28 points, while Taylor Bigby contributed 19, leading No. 9 TCU to an 82-69 victory over Iowa State on Sunday.

Both Van Lith and Bigby achieved personal bests for the season, aiding the Horned Frogs (21-2, 9-1 Big 12) in securing their second consecutive win. Madison Conner and Donovyn Hunter each chipped in with 10 points, with Hunter making his impact felt from the bench.

For the Cyclones (15-9, 6-5), Addy Brown delivered a career-high 31 points, and Audi Crooks supported with 29 points. However, the Cyclones struggled outside of their main offensive contributors, scoring a mere nine points on 2-of-9 shooting when Brown and Crooks weren’t involved.

A pivotal moment in the game occurred when the Cyclones embarked on an eight-point run during the fourth quarter. Van Lith responded with a layup, followed by Hunter hitting a three-pointer, which extended the Horned Frogs’ lead to nine points, ultimately helping to cement their victory.

Interestingly, Sedona Prince, who is typically TCU’s leading scorer, was unable to score in the game, missing both of her shot attempts.

Looking ahead, TCU is scheduled to visit No. 11 Kansas State on Wednesday, while Iowa State will travel to Cincinnati on the same day.
