MILWAUKEE – In an exciting matchup on Sunday, Purdue Fort Wayne edged out Milwaukee with a close score of 81-79. Rasheed Bello was a standout performer for the Mastodons, contributing a total of 23 points along with six rebounds, six assists, and three steals. His impressive effort helped elevate his team’s record to 16 wins and 8 losses, with a conference mark of 9-4 in the Horizon League.
Joining Bello in the scoring efforts was Jalen Jackson, who added 22 points to the scoreboard. Jackson showcased his shooting abilities, going 8 for 14 from the field, including making 1 of 3 from long range, and he also sank 5 of 7 free throws. Trey Lewis supported the team by putting up 15 points, hitting 5 of 11 shots, and impressively connecting on 4 of his 8 attempts from three-point territory.
For the Panthers, Themus Fulks led the charge with 15 points while also dishing out eight assists and snagging two steals. Milwaukee’s Faizon Fields contributed significantly with 13 points and nine rebounds, while Erik Pratt also joined the scoring line with another 13 points.
