LOS ANGELES — The 67th Grammy Awards are set to occur on Sunday, featuring a markedly different focus this year.
As Los Angeles continues its recovery from devastating wildfires that have obliterated over 14,000 properties and forced tens of thousands to evacuate, the Recording Academy has restructured the awards ceremony to assist wildfire victims.
Since the onset of these fires, the Grammys, along with the MusiCares charity, has provided $2 million in emergency funds and has committed over $4 million to aid individuals in the music industry affected by the disasters.
The upcoming Grammy event aims to broaden these initiatives, enhancing support and resources for those in need.
While attendees will witness the usual trophy presentations and musical performances, the show will also emphasize raising funds and awareness to contribute to worthy causes.
Comedian Trevor Noah will serve as the host for the fifth consecutive year, with the potential for historic moments as some of music’s biggest stars gather for the celebration.
Viewers can tune in to the Grammys live on CBS and Paramount+, starting at 8 p.m. Eastern. Subscribers to Paramount+ with Showtime can access both live and on-demand viewing.
The award show will also be available through various live TV streaming services, including Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, and FuboTV, provided they include CBS in their offerings.
Additionally, the premiere ceremony, led by songwriter Justin Tranter, will happen at 3:30 p.m. Eastern/12:30 p.m. Pacific at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, and it can be streamed on the Recording Academy’s YouTube channel and at live.GRAMMY.com.
