In Nashville, Tennessee, on Saturday night, Jacob Ognacevic delivered an impressive performance, scoring 32 points, which helped lift the Lipscomb Bisons to a 87-80 victory over the Bellarmine Knights.
Ognacevic also contributed significantly on the boards, grabbing nine rebounds for the Bisons, who now hold a record of 15 wins and 8 losses, with a conference record of 7 wins against 3 losses in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
Supporting Ognacevic’s scoring effort, Will Pruitt added 19 points, showing remarkable shooting efficiency by hitting 6 of his 8 attempts from the field, including 3 of 5 from beyond the arc and converting 4 of 5 free throws. Additionally, Joe Anderson contributed to the team’s tally with 12 points, shooting 3 for 8 overall and 2 for 6 from three-point territory, while also making 4 of 6 from the charity stripe.
On the other side, the Knights, now struggling with a season record of 3 wins and 20 losses and still seeking their first conference victory at 0-10, were led by Jack Karasinski and Myles Watkins, who each scored 16 points. Tyler Doyle also made his mark by contributing 15 points. Unfortunately for Bellarmine, this loss extends their streak to 13 consecutive defeats.
