OGDEN, Utah — Eastern Washington secured a convincing 72-49 victory over Weber State on Saturday, largely thanks to Andrew Cook’s impressive performance, contributing 27 points to the team’s success.

In addition to Cook’s scoring prowess, he also grabbed six rebounds, helping to solidify his team’s presence on the court. Vice Zanki made a notable impact as well, scoring 13 points and going 5 for 9 in field goals, including 3 for 7 from beyond the arc. Emmett Marquardt added to the tally with 12 points, showcasing an efficient shooting performance with a 3 of 5 from the field and a perfect 5 of 5 from the free-throw line. This victory marked a significant turnaround for the Eagles, breaking a frustrating five-game losing streak.

For the Wildcats, Blaise Threatt emerged as the top scorer with 17 points, complemented by seven rebounds and two steals. Viljami Vartiainen contributed 13 points to the team’s effort, while Dyson Koehler added nine points of his own.

Looking ahead, Eastern Washington will face Sacramento State next Thursday in a home matchup, whereas Weber State is set to host Northern Arizona on Monday evening.
