Hinton tallies 28 points in Harvard’s 90-82 victory over Columbia

NEW YORK — In a thrilling encounter on Friday evening, Harvard triumphed over Columbia with a score of 90-82, thanks to Robert Hinton’s stellar performance which included 28 points.

Hinton also contributed defensively, recording four steals for the Crimson, who now hold a record of 7-11 overall and 2-3 in the Ivy League.

Chandler Pigge was another standout player for Harvard, netting 26 points, while also grabbing eight rebounds and adding three steals to his stat line.

Evan Nelson had a solid outing as well, shooting 60% from the field with 16 points, including making two of his four attempts from beyond the arc.

On the other side, Columbia (11-7, 0-5) struggled to find their rhythm, despite Gianni Cobb leading the charge with 16 points and four steals.

Avery Brown contributed 13 points, and Kenny Noland added 12 points along with six assists and three steals, but the team faced their sixth consecutive loss in the league.

Both teams are set to return to action on Saturday, with Harvard traveling to face Cornell while Columbia will host Dartmouth.
