In a competitive matchup on Friday evening, Mount St. Mary’s secured a 66-58 triumph over Merrimack, with Dola Adebayo standing out by scoring 16 points for the Mountaineers.
Adebayo also contributed significantly on the boards, grabbing five rebounds to help his team improve to a record of 12-9 overall and 5-5 within the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
Supporting Adebayo, Carmelo Pacheco delivered a strong performance, netting 14 points with notable shooting accuracy, hitting four of his eight attempts from beyond the arc and connecting two out of four from the free-throw line.
Additionally, Jedy Cordilia added 12 points, shooting 5 for 11 overall and successfully converting two of three free-throw attempts.

On the other side of the court, Matt Becht topped the scoring for the Warriors with 13 points.
Adam Clark contributed not only 11 points but also assisted with seven assists and made four steals, showcasing his all-around game for Merrimack.
Devon Savage also chipped in with 11 points and three steals, keeping the pressure on the Mountaineers throughout the game.

Both Mount St. Mary’s and Merrimack are set to continue their seasons with matchups on Sunday.
