Zurliene nets 17 points in Campbell’s 96-55 victory over William & Mary

BUIES CREEK, N.C. — In an impressive showing on Thursday night, Caleb Zurliene contributed 17 points from the bench, propelling Campbell to a commanding 96-55 win over William & Mary.

Zurliene also grabbed six rebounds for the Fighting Camels, who now hold a record of 11-11 overall and 6-3 in the Coastal Athletic Association. Nolan Dorsey added 15 points while pulling down nine rebounds for the team. Jasin Sinani also had a notable performance, scoring 15 points with a shooting efficiency of 3 for 8, including 3 of 7 from beyond the arc, and went a perfect 6 for 6 from the free-throw line, in addition to contributing six rebounds.

For William & Mary, the standout player was Matteus Case, who led the Tribe with 17 points. Finn Lally also made an impact for the Tribe, contributing 10 points to the effort.

At halftime, Campbell established a solid lead, holding a 38-17 advantage, with Zurliene scoring 12 of his points in the first half. The Fighting Camels continued to dominate in the second half, extending their lead to 54-21, largely thanks to an 11-0 scoring spree. Sinani emerged as a leader in the second half, scoring a team-high 10 points.

Looking ahead, Campbell’s next matchup is on Saturday against Hofstra at their home court, while William & Mary is set to host Charleston on Monday.
