BOSTON — Boston University secured a victory over Holy Cross with a final score of 69-59 on Monday night, with Kyrone Alexander contributing significantly to the win by scoring 15 points.
Alexander also recorded five rebounds, playing a key role for the Terriers, who now hold a record of 11-11 overall and 5-4 in the Patriot League.
Michael McNair supported the team with 13 points and seven rebounds while Miles Brewster added another 10 points to the total.
The Crusaders, also at 11-11 but with a record of 3-6 in the league, saw their highest scorer in Joe Nugent, who tallied 12 points and made two steals.
Max Green contributed with 10 points, grabbed six rebounds, and handed out four assists, while DeAndre Williams also scored 10 points.
Boston University managed to take control of the game with just 1:37 left in the first half and maintained that lead throughout the remainder of the match.
With McNair’s key contributions, the Terriers went into halftime leading 31-26.
They then increased their advantage significantly, executing a powerful 16-1 run that allowed them to pull ahead 51-35 with 8:11 left to play in the game.
