STILLWATER, Okla. — Caleb Love delivered an impressive performance, scoring 27 points, while teammate Trey Townsend contributed 19 points with an outstanding shooting rate of 7-for-8. The Arizona Wildcats triumphed over Oklahoma State with a score of 92-78 on Tuesday evening, marking Tommy Lloyd’s 100th career victory as a head coach.

Lloyd achieved this milestone in just 126 games, tying Mark Few for the record of fastest to reach 100 wins among active coaches within their current institutions. Love showcased his skills by hitting 10 of his 17 attempts, which included four successful 3-pointers, bringing his career point total to over 2,400.

In the first half, Arizona exhibited a strong offensive start, making seven of their last eight field goal attempts. The half concluded with Jaden Bradley hitting a 3-pointer in the dying seconds, propelling the Wildcats to a 43-39 lead. Both teams demonstrated accuracy, shooting at least 50% from the field, and each netted five 3-pointers. However, Oklahoma State struggled at the free-throw line, making only 6 out of 11 attempts.

Love once again made his mark in the second half, nailing consecutive 3-pointers that pushed the Wildcats’ lead to 59-48 with 15:54 remaining. From that point onward, Arizona maintained a comfortable lead of at least nine points. A baseline floater by Love at the 7:16 mark brought the score to 80-63, solidifying the Wildcats’ control on the game.

Bradley also made significant contributions for Arizona, scoring 12 points, while Townsend reached double digits for the first time since December 18.

On the other hand, Oklahoma State’s offense was led by Marchelus Avery and Bryce Thompson, who each scored 21 points. Additionally, Abou Ousmane contributed 14 points and Brandon Newman added 12 points for the Cowboys.

Looking ahead, Oklahoma State will be facing Texas Tech on Sunday, while Arizona will return to their home court to play against Colorado on Saturday.
