MONACO — On Tuesday, Prince William made an appearance in Monaco to support Aston Villa during their Champions League match.
Unfortunately for the future king of England, his presence did not translate into good fortune for the Premier League club, which ended up losing the match 1-0 at the Stade Louis II.

Television cameras captured the prince amidst the crowd, dressed in a blue jacket complemented by a grey sweater layered over his blue shirt.
He appeared to feel the chill in the air of the principality, frequently rubbing his hands together while engaging in conversation with a companion seated beside him.

Prince William is often considered one of Aston Villa’s most prominent supporters and had earlier been present to witness the team secure a victory against Bayern Munich in a previous match of the tournament.
This recent defeat, however, poses a significant challenge to Aston Villa’s aspirations for automatic advancement to the round of 16.

Currently, the team stands in seventh place in the tournament’s rankings, with only one game remaining in the league phase.
They are at risk of falling out of the top eight, which would force them into a playoff situation for teams finishing from ninth to 24th to secure a position in the next stage of the competition.
