RIVERSIDE, Calif. — In an exciting matchup on Saturday night, Barrington Hargress shone for UC Riverside, scoring an impressive 40 points as the Highlanders triumphed over UC San Diego with a final score of 85-81.
Hargress’s performance included five rebounds, contributing significantly to the team’s victory, bringing their record to 11-8 overall and 4-3 within the Big West Conference. Nate Pickens also made his mark, adding 15 points with an efficient shooting display—hitting 5 of 9 from the field, including 4 of 6 from beyond the arc, and registering another five rebounds.
