ASHEVILLE, N.C. — In an exciting matchup on Saturday, UNC Asheville triumphed over Winthrop with a final score of 93-84, thanks to an impressive performance from Jordan Marsh.
Marsh showcased his talent by scoring an astounding 32 points, along with contributing seven rebounds and eight assists for the Bulldogs, who improved their record to 13-6 overall and 4-1 in the Big South Conference.
Additionally, Toyaz Solomon made a notable impact with 16 points on 8-of-14 shooting, complementing his performance with nine rebounds, three steals, and three blocks. Both Fletcher Abee and Josh Banks added to the offensive effort, each contributing 12 points.
The Eagles put up a strong fight, with Bryce Baker leading their scoring efforts, finishing the game with 24 points. Kelton Talford also had a stellar game, scoring 21 points and securing eight rebounds, along with two steals. KJ Doucet supported the team with 12 points of his own.
This victory solidified UNC Asheville’s standing in the conference as they continue to push for a successful season.
