NASHVILLE, Tenn. — In a decisive matchup on Saturday night, Gyasi Powell contributed significantly to Lipscomb’s 86-67 victory over West Georgia, scoring a notable 20 points.
Powell demonstrated impressive shooting skills, hitting 7 of 12 attempts, with a remarkable 6 of 10 from three-point territory, propelling the Bisons to a record of 11 wins and 6 losses, as well as 3 wins against 1 loss in Atlantic Sun Conference play.

Joe Anderson also played a key role in the game, finishing with 17 points while maintaining an efficient shooting percentage of 6 for 10, which included 3 successful three-pointers out of 4 attempts.
Jacob Ognacevic added to the team’s success with 15 points, shooting 3 for 9 overall. However, Ognacevic struggled with his long-range shooting, going 0 for 3 from beyond the arc, yet he excelled at the free-throw line, connecting on 9 of his 11 attempts.

On the other side, West Georgia (3-14, 1-3) found its scoring leader in Shelton Williams-Dryden, who amassed 19 points and secured eight rebounds.
The Wolves also benefitted from Malcolm Noel, who contributed 10 points along with four assists, but ultimately, it wasn’t enough to overcome the Bisons’ offensive onslaught.
