SOUTH EASTON, Mass. — On Friday night, Malachi Davis delivered an impressive performance, scoring 27 points and leading LIU to a 70-60 win against Stonehill.

Davis showcased his shooting skills by connecting on 12 of 18 attempts from the floor, although he was only 1 for 4 from beyond the arc. His efforts helped propel the Sharks, who now hold a record of 7-11 overall and 3-0 in the Northeast Conference. Jamal Fuller supported the team with 14 points, shooting 4 of 7 from the field, which included a 1 for 4 mark on three-pointers. He also completed a perfect 5 for 5 from the free-throw line and contributed seven rebounds. Terell Strickland added to the scoring with 13 points, making 6 of his 10 shots and grabbing six rebounds, while also going 1 for 4 from long range.

On the other side, Louie Semona led the Skyhawks with 17 points, helping Stonehill to a record of 9-9 overall and 1-2 in their conference play. Chas Stinson had a solid outing with 14 points, along with four assists and two steals, while Todd Brogna chipped in with 10 points.

Both teams are set to compete again on Sunday; LIU will visit Central Connecticut State, while Stonehill will be on the road facing Chicago State.
