CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — Shelton Williams-Dryden delivered an impressive performance, scoring 27 points to lead the West Georgia Wolves to a narrow 72-68 victory over Austin Peay on Thursday night.

Williams-Dryden also contributed significantly on the boards, grabbing six rebounds as the Wolves improved to a record of 3-13 overall and 1-2 in the Atlantic Sun Conference. Rickey Ballard supported the effort with 13 points, shooting 4 for 8 from the field and 3 for 6 from behind the arc, while also pulling down 10 rebounds.

On the other side of the court, the Governors, now with a record of 6-10 and also 1-2 in the conference, were spearheaded by Anton Brookshire. He had a standout game, scoring 28 points and adding six rebounds along with two steals. Additionally, LJ Thomas contributed 14 points to the team’s efforts.

This matchup showcased a dynamic battle, with both teams working hard to solidify their standings within the conference. The Wolves’ determination and effective teamwork ultimately clinched the win, while Austin Peay will look to regroup and improve in their upcoming contests.
