LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — In a competitive game on Thursday, Jerone Morton led the way for Morehead State as they triumphed over Little Rock with a final score of 59-53.

Morton not only contributed 17 points but also recorded four steals, showcasing his all-around impact on the court for the Eagles, who hold a record of 9-7 and 4-1 in the Ohio Valley Conference.

Anouar Mellouk was instrumental as well, scoring 14 points on an impressive 7-for-10 shooting performance. Steven Clay completed the scoring effort with 10 points, shooting 3 of 8 overall and making his free throws count by sinking three out of four attempts. He also grabbed eight rebounds, solidifying his role in the team’s success.

On the other side, Isaiah Lewis was the top performer for the Trojans, netting 14 points and contributing seven rebounds. Mwani Wilkinson joined him with a solid performance, putting up 12 points while also securing nine rebounds and contributing three blocks to the defense. Johnathan Lawson added to their scoring with 11 points.
Both teams are set to take to the court again on Saturday, with Morehead State traveling to face Southeast Missouri State while Little Rock prepares to host Southern Indiana.
