KENT, Ohio — Jalen Sullinger showcased a stellar performance for Kent State as he led the team with 25 points, helping secure an 84-80 victory against Heidelberg on Sunday night with a critical 3-pointer just 43 seconds before the final buzzer.

Sullinger demonstrated strong shooting skills, making 9 of 20 attempts from the field, including 4 out of 10 from long distance, and converting 3 of his 4 free throw attempts. The Golden Flashes improved to a record of 9-3 as VonCameron Davis contributed significantly with 21 points, shooting 8 for 13 overall, including 1 of 3 from beyond the arc, and also adding four rebounds along with five assists. Mike Bekelja was another key player for Kent State, registering 14 points while shooting an impressive 4 for 5 from three-point territory and hitting 2 of 4 free throws.
