FORT WAYNE, Ind. — In a dominant performance, Corey Hadnot II contributed 17 points to lead Purdue Fort Wayne to a commanding 103-52 victory over Defiance on Friday evening.
Hadnot showcased his shooting skills, going 7 for 11 from the floor, including 3 for 6 from beyond the arc. The Mastodons, now holding a record of 9-4 and 2-1 in the Horizon League, also benefited from Chris Morgan’s contributions, who scored 16 points while securing six steals. Trey Lewis followed with 13 points, making 5 of 12 attempts overall but struggled from long range, hitting just one out of seven 3-point attempts.
On the other side, Carter Sudhoff was the top scorer for the Yellow Jackets, finishing the game with eight points. Zahyem Bradwell contributed with seven points and a solid six rebounds. Jalen Brown added six points to the Defiance total.
Purdue Fort Wayne is set to face Michigan in their upcoming game scheduled for Sunday, while Defiance will visit Miami (OH) on Monday.
