PHILADELPHIA — In a strong performance, Nick Spinoso led the Pennsylvania Quakers to a 79-66 victory over the Rider Broncs on Friday night, scoring a total of 22 points.
Spinoso also made significant contributions on the boards, grabbing six rebounds during the matchup.
Ethan Roberts had an impressive game as well, netting 20 points on an efficient 7-of-13 shooting, which included hitting 3 of his 5 attempts from beyond the arc, and converting all three of his free throws.
Additionally, Roberts secured eight rebounds and dished out five assists, contributing greatly to the team’s overall success.
Niklas Polonowski added to the scoring effort for the Quakers with 14 points, shooting 5 of 8 from the field and converting 4 of 7 attempts from three-point range.
For the Broncs, Zion Cruz was the standout player, finishing with 16 points and seven rebounds.
His efforts were complemented by TJ Weeks Jr., who scored 13 points and recorded two blocks.
Tariq Ingraham also contributed to Rider’s score with 11 points and eight rebounds.
Unfortunately for the Broncs, this defeat marked their sixth consecutive loss, complicating their season as they search for a breakthrough.
Both teams are set to return to action on Sunday, with Pennsylvania scheduled to face George Mason and Rider taking on NC State.
