NATCHITOCHES, La. — In a thrilling matchup on Friday, Addison Patterson delivered an impressive performance, scoring 33 points to power Northwestern State to a victory over Southern University at New Orleans, with a final score of 89-79.

Patterson not only dominated the scoring but also contributed significantly on the boards, securing 10 rebounds for the Demons, who now hold a record of 6-5. JT Warren supported the team with 11 points, shooting effectively with a 5-for-11 error and connecting on one out of three shots from three-point range. Additionally, Landyn Jumawan added to the score, finishing the game with eight points on two of seven shooting, including two successful attempts from beyond the arc.

For Southern University at New Orleans, Tyon Thompson was a standout player, leading the Knights by scoring 21 points. Thompson also excelled in playmaking, registering six assists and making three steals on defense. Teammate Jamal Gibson made a notable impact as well, contributing 18 points, seizing seven rebounds, and also recording three steals. Tony White rounded out the effort with a solid performance, finishing with 10 points accompanied by three steals.
