MIAMI — Renowned real estate agent Oren Alexander and his twin brother Alon have been ordered to remain in custody following their first appearance in a Miami court on Friday.
The brothers requested bail in connection with allegations of sex trafficking and gang rape; however, federal prosecutors asserted that they posed a risk of fleeing and a threat to the community. Presiding Judge Ellen D’Angelo has scheduled a detention hearing for December 30.
During the court proceedings, the judge outlined the charges against each brother and clarified their legal rights.
Earlier, a Miami judge declined to approve a $115 million bail package proposed by the brothers’ elder sibling, Tal Alexander. This package aimed to secure the release of all three siblings, who have made a name for themselves in the luxury real estate market across Florida and New York, while awaiting trial in New York City.
The Alexanders were charged last week in New York with serious offenses, including luring, drugging, and brutally assaulting numerous women over an extended period. Additionally, Alon and Oren Alexander face state-level charges in Florida tied to three alleged incidents of sexual assault.
As it stands, all three brothers will remain detained in Florida. They have strongly refuted the allegations through their attorneys, contending that any sexual interactions were consensual.
Oren and Tal Alexander have established a reputation for facilitating high-profile real estate transactions in New York City and Miami, representing clients such as Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Liam Gallagher, and Lindsay Lohan. In 2022, they launched a new real estate venture named Official.
Alon Alexander has a background in law, having attended law school before joining the family’s private security enterprise.
