FAIRFIELD, Conn.
— Central Connecticut State achieved a narrow victory over Fairfield with a score of 64-63 on Wednesday evening, thanks in part to the efforts of Jayden Brown, who netted 16 points.
In addition to his scoring, Brown grabbed 12 rebounds and recorded three blocks, showcasing a strong all-around performance for the Blue Devils, now holding a record of 7-4.
Devin Haid contributed to the team’s success by scoring 13 points with an efficient shooting effort, converting 6 of his 10 attempts from the floor.
Jordan Jones added to the totals as well, finishing with 12 points after going 6 of 13 shooting while also dishing out seven assists.
On the other side, the Stags, now 5-6, saw Deon Perry leading their scoring with 13 points.
Jamie Bergens was another key contributor, scoring 11 points and collecting two steals for the Stags.
Peyton Smith also made a noteworthy contribution with nine points and six rebounds, rounding out Fairfield’s scoring efforts.
