Ullmark records 30 saves as Senators secure fourth consecutive victory with a 3-0 win against Kraken

SEATTLE — In a decisive performance, Linus Ullmark stopped 30 shots, leading the Ottawa Senators to a commanding 3-0 victory against the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday night. This triumph marked the Senators’ fourth consecutive win.

The game remained scoreless until Shane Pinto broke through at 8:02 in the second period, giving Ottawa the lead. Shortly after, Noah Gregor extended the advantage with a goal of his own, leaving the Kraken in a tough position. In the third period, at 4:18, Tim Stutzle added the final goal of the night, sneaking a shot past Kraken goaltender Joey Daccord, marking his 11th goal of the season and his first since November 30. Daccord wrapped up the match with 24 saves in total.

This defeat marked the fifth time this season that the Kraken were unable to score a single goal in a game.

Takeaways from this game spotlight the Senators: Their offense has been surging recently, as they’ve consistently netted three or more goals in each game during their current winning streak. As a result, they’ve improved their overall season record to 16-13-2 after struggling with a below .500 record earlier on.

On the other side, the Kraken are grappling with issues at home, as they have managed to secure only one win in their last six home games since November 27.

The key moment of the night came when Stutzle scored in the third period, effectively sealing the game for the Senators. The Kraken’s chances at a comeback were significantly diminished, as clawing back from a three-goal deficit proved overwhelming.

Ullmark’s performance is also noteworthy; he recorded his third shutout of the season and has limited opponents to just one goal or fewer in five of his last six outings.

Looking ahead, the Kraken will begin a four-game road trip starting in Chicago this Thursday, the same day the Senators will take on Calgary.
