FORT WORTH, Texas — In an impressive display, Madison Conner led the TCU Horned Frogs with 33 points and eight successful 3-pointers, as they overwhelmed Samford with a final score of 103-64 on Tuesday night. Hailey Van Lith also contributed significantly to the victory, scoring 15 points and assisting on eight occasions.

Conner demonstrated exceptional shooting skills, going 8 for 16 from beyond the arc, which matched the combined total of 3-pointers made by the entire Samford team. With this performance, she tied for sixth place on TCU’s record list for most 3-pointers in a single game, joining Tomi Taiwo, Jill Sutton, and Emma Wilson. The all-time record for the program is 11, held by Amber Ramirez, achieved during a game against Southeastern Louisiana on December 10, 2017.

The Horned Frogs displayed strong offensive capabilities, shooting 50% from the field and sinking 16 of their 35 attempts from long range. Alongside Conner’s stellar outing, Donovyn Hunter reached a personal milestone with a career-high of 14 points, while Deasia Merrill contributed 13 points and Aaliyah Roberson scored 10 for TCU, who now boast a season record of 11-1. Conner’s performance included six rebounds and four assists, leading the team to achieve over 20 assists for the eighth time in this season.

For Samford, Sadie Stetson was the standout performer, finishing with 13 points. Emily Bowman and Claire Johnson each added 10 points, but it wasn’t enough to challenge TCU’s dominance.

The Horned Frogs established their control in the match, scoring the first four points of the second quarter, which allowed them to create a double-digit lead for the first time. Throughout the second half, TCU maintained a lead of at least 23 points.

Conner closed out her scoring with a 3-pointer that extended TCU’s advantage to 94-52, just 4:55 remaining on the clock. She now boasts impressive statistics of 48 successful shots from 3-point range out of 109 attempts this season, maintaining a 44% shooting percentage and averaging four makes per game.

Looking ahead, TCU is set to face UCF this coming Saturday.
