ALBANY, N.Y. — Chance Moore delivered an impressive 23-point performance as St. Bonaventure secured a 65-48 triumph over Siena on Tuesday night.
In addition to his scoring, Moore contributed with 10 rebounds, helping the Bonnies improve their record to 11-1. Melvin Council Jr. also had a solid game, scoring 14 points while shooting 5 of 11 from the field, including 2 for 4 from beyond the arc. He added five rebounds and tallied seven steals, enhancing his team’s defensive efforts. Noel Brown supported the team as well, netting 10 points off a 4 of 8 shooting display.
Siena, now standing at 5-6 overall and 1-1 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, was paced by Major Freeman and Devin Brafford, each contributing nine points to the effort.
The game started favorably for St. Bonaventure, as they established a substantial lead, finishing the first half at 34-17 with Moore leading the scoring at that point with 13 points. The Bonnies pushed their advantage further in the second half, executing a 10-3 run that expanded their lead from 19 to 26 points. Moore was again the standout in this stretch, leading the team with 10 points during the second half.
Overall, it was a commanding performance by St. Bonaventure, showcasing their strong offense and defense throughout the game.
