MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — The Miami Dolphins have placed wide receiver Grant DuBose on injured reserve following a serious incident during their game against the Houston Texans on Sunday, where he sustained a helmet-to-helmet collision. This unsettling injury resulted in DuBose being taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
After the game, it was reported that DuBose remained hospitalized on Monday. Fortunately, he exhibited movement in all extremities, which is a positive sign following the collision with Texans safety Calen Bullock while attempting to catch a pass in the third quarter.
Emergency medical personnel worked for at least 10 minutes on the field to assist DuBose, who was unresponsive at the time. His jersey was removed, and he was fitted with a neck brace before being transported on a spine board, with his arms and legs secured. Reports indicated he was in stable condition after being admitted to the hospital.
DuBose was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft and joined the Dolphins in August. Earlier this season, he was placed on injured reserve due to a shoulder injury but had recently been activated for Sunday’s matchup.
In other news for the Dolphins on Tuesday, the team made roster moves, including signing long snapper Jake McQuaide from their practice squad. Additionally, receiver Isaiah McKenzie and quarterback Skylar Thompson were moved to the practice squad, with Thompson having been released just a week prior after starting three games over three seasons for Miami.
