Federiko Federiko and Chance McMillian propel Texas Tech to a dominating 86-50 win against Oral Roberts

LUBBOCK, Texas — Federiko Federiko delivered an impressive performance with a career-best 23 points and 12 rebounds, while Chance McMillian added 20 points to lead Texas Tech to an emphatic 86-50 win over Oral Roberts on Monday evening.

Federiko shined in his first double-double of the season, sinking 11 of his 13 field goal attempts and contributing five assists. McMillian also showcased his skills, making 8 of 9 shots, including three from beyond the arc, and dishing out five assists of his own.

From the bench, Chris Anderson added to the scoring with three three-pointers for a total of 11 points, while Darrion Williams contributed significantly as well, finishing with 10 points, nine assists, and two blocks.

For Oral Roberts, JoJo Moore was the standout player, scoring 19 points on an impressive 8-for-10 shooting display. However, the Golden Eagles continued to struggle this season, falling to 3-8 overall and remaining winless on the road with a 0-6 record.

McMillian kickstarted Texas Tech’s scoring with a three-pointer, initiating a 10-0 run that set the tone for the game. Both McMillian and Federiko played pivotal roles in a dominant 17-0 scoring spree that extended the lead from three points to a substantial 31-11 with just over five minutes remaining in the first half.

By halftime, McMillian had amassed 15 points on 6-for-7 shooting, including two three-pointers, while Federiko complemented his performance by making 7 of 8 shots for 14 points, propelling Texas Tech to a commanding 41-19 advantage.

In the second half, Kevin Overton’s dunk with 9:51 left in the game marked the highest point for the Red Raiders, who led by as many as 36 points at 63-27.

Looking ahead, Texas Tech is set to host Lamar on Saturday, while Oral Roberts will be on the road to face Oklahoma State on Sunday.
