Monaco is currently in need of additional offensive strength following the injury of U.S. striker Folarin Balogun.
The team has exhibited signs of exhaustion over the past few weeks in both their domestic league and the Champions League.
Their performance has been poor, having failed to score in their last two outings, which included a 3-0 defeat to Arsenal in European competition and a goalless stalemate against Reims in the French league.

The squad consists of many promising young talents but is limited to just two available strikers, Breel Embolo and George Ilenikhena.
Balogun is scheduled to undergo surgery on his dislocated shoulder on Tuesday, and Monaco’s coach, Adi Hütter, indicated that he would be sidelined for approximately four months.
While preparing for their final league fixture of the year against league leaders Paris Saint-Germain, Hütter emphasized the need for an additional striker in the January transfer window.

“It is vital that we remain vigilant,” he stated to the press.
“It is our responsibility to explore the options in the transfer market.”
When asked if France forward Randal Kolo Muani, who has not been utilized much by PSG’s manager Luis Enrique, could be a suitable choice, Hütter responded with a light-hearted, “that sounds appealing.”

“But let’s be realistic,” he continued.
“We need to determine the best solution for the second half of the season. We aren’t certain just yet about which striker to pursue. We’re considering several profiles. It’s imperative that we find someone who can convert chances into goals.”

Hütter, who has managed several teams in Germany, admitted to having followed Kolo Muani during his time at Frankfurt.
“He scored frequently and performed exceptionally well there,” he remarked.
“He could fit what we need. However, there are numerous factors to consider, and undoubtedly, he won’t come at a low price.”

In the current standings of the French league, Monaco is tied on points with second-placed Marseille but trails PSG by seven points.
“Certainly, we aim to secure a victory against Paris, but achieving that will require a flawless performance from us,” the coach affirmed.
“They remain unbeaten in Ligue 1 and are the favorites in this matchup. We have the capacity to win against Paris, but that demands an outstanding performance.”
