LINCOLN, Neb. — Alexis Markowski led the No. 24 Nebraska Cornhuskers to a commanding 66-42 win against Chattanooga on Sunday, contributing 18 points to the team’s effort.
Markowski displayed her impressive skills by successfully making 7 out of 9 attempts from the field, including one shot from beyond the arc, and also pulled down eight rebounds in just 20 minutes of action. The victory marked the Cornhuskers’ fifth consecutive win, improving their home record to a perfect 9-0. Notably, Markowski is the first athlete in Nebraska’s history to reach both 1,500 points and 1,000 rebounds throughout her career. Additionally, she holds the program record with 44 double-doubles.
Callin Hake contributed to the success with 10 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Britt Prince added to the scoreboard with two three-pointers, bringing her total to eight points for the game.
