MALIBU, Calif. — Boubacar Coulibaly delivered an impressive performance, scoring 22 points as the Pepperdine Waves secured an 86-76 win over the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks on Saturday evening.
Coulibaly demonstrated remarkable shooting accuracy, finishing the game a perfect 10 for 10 from the field. Moe Odum also made significant contributions with 20 points, converting 5 of 8 attempts including a flawless 3 for 3 from beyond the arc. He supplemented his scoring with eight assists and three steals. Stefan Todorovic added 19 points to the scoreboard, hitting 6 of 12 field goals, which included 2 of 3 from the three-point line, while also making 5 of 6 from the free-throw line along with securing six rebounds.
Trenton McLaughlin was the standout performer for the Lumberjacks, leading his team with 26 points. Teammate Carson Towt contributed significantly as well, recording a double-double with 16 points and 16 rebounds, in addition to two steals. Monty Bowser rounded out the scoring for Northern Arizona with 12 points.
The Waves entered halftime with a narrow lead, 44-42, with Coulibaly boasting 12 points at the break. His dunk just over five minutes into the second half marked a pivotal moment, putting Pepperdine ahead 55-54 where they would stay for the remainder of the game.
Looking ahead, Pepperdine is set to host Long Beach State on Thursday, while Northern Arizona will head to Southern Utah for their matchup on Saturday.
