Speculation is swirling in Palm Beach that Elon Musk, a regular at Mar-a-Lago since Donald Trump’s reelection, is interested in purchasing the late beauty mogul Sydell Miller’s luxury penthouse at the Bristol, one of the most prestigious addresses in West Palm Beach.
A record-setting penthouse fit for a billionaire
Miller, the visionary behind beauty brands Ardell and Matrix Essentials, purchased the penthouse — a combination of two apartments — for $42.56 million in 2019, setting a record for the city’s most expensive condo at the time. The lavish 19,000-square-foot penthouse offers amenities befitting royalty, including access to a spa, concierge services, and breathtaking views.
Local reports suggest that Miller’s family is considering Musk’s offer for the property, which could exceed $100 million. If the sale proceeds, it would shatter existing real estate records in West Palm Beach.
Musk’s growing presence in Palm Beach
Musk’s interest in Miller’s former residence aligns with his increased presence in Palm Beach. The Tesla and SpaceX founder has been frequently spotted at Mar-a-Lago, including during Thanksgiving celebrations, as he reportedly collaborates with Trump’s administration to lead a newly established Department of Government Efficiency alongside Vivek Ramaswamy.
Sydell Miller’s legacy of luxury
Miller, who passed away in March, was not only a beauty industry titan but also a renowned art collector and philanthropist. Her Palm Beach estate, La Reverie, sold for $111 million and was described as a “state library or railroad station” due to its grand scale and opulence. The estate even featured an ice cream stand and bowling alley. Many of Miller’s prized art pieces, including works by Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, and Marc Chagall, were recently auctioned by Sotheby’s.
Musk remains silent on the rumors
While rumors about Musk’s interest in the Bristol penthouse continue to grow, he has yet to comment on the potential acquisition. Whether or not the deal goes through, it underscores Palm Beach’s allure as a playground for billionaires and its status as a hub for luxury living.
