CHICAGO — In a thrilling matchup on Sunday night, Jordan Mason stepped up for UIC with a total of 17 points, including two crucial points during overtime, leading the Flames to a narrow victory over Dartmouth with a final score of 69-68.

Mason’s performance also included seven rebounds and three steals, contributing significantly to his team’s effort. Alongside him, Javon Jackson matched his scoring with 17 points and added six rebounds and four steals. Ahmad Henderson II finished the game with nine points after making only one of six attempts from three-point range, illustrating the challenges UIC faced in capitalizing on their shot opportunities.

The decisive moment came when Mason scored a jumper that put UIC ahead 69-68 with 3:19 left in overtime. From that point on, neither team could find the basket, resulting in a hard-fought finish where UIC maintained their slim lead.
